Privacy & Cookies
We collect as little as we can, we don't sell it, and we'll tell you exactly what we do with it. This policy applies to kee-shee.com and to emails we send you.
What we collect
You give us
- Email list: your email address and the fact that you consented, with a timestamp.
- Orders: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone (if you give it), what you bought, and payment details. Payment is processed by Shopify and its payment partners — we never receive your full card number.
- Contact form / email: whatever you choose to send us.
Collected automatically
- Server logs from our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps. Used for security and to keep the site up.
- Analytics, only if you accept them in the cookie bar (see below). We do not load analytics until you say yes.
- Shopify checkout sets its own cookies when you go to buy; those are governed by Shopify's privacy policy.
How we use it
- To fulfil and ship your order, send order and shipping confirmations, and handle returns or claims.
- To send drop announcements and news only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
- To answer your messages.
- To protect the site and our customers from fraud and abuse, and to comply with law (for example, keeping order records for tax purposes).
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — only with your consent to analytics.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use targeted advertising cookies unless we tell you in this policy and you consent. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and our email list and store are for adults 18+.
Who we share it with
Only service providers who need it to do a job for us, under contracts that restrict what they can do with it:
- Shopify — checkout, payment, order management.
- Our email provider — sending list emails and storing subscriber addresses.
- Our web host / form provider — serving the site and receiving form submissions.
- Shipping carriers — your name and address to deliver your order.
- Analytics provider — only if you've consented.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of the business (in which case this policy still governs your data until you're told otherwise).
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Here's every kind this site may use:
- Strictly necessary: a single "consent choice" setting stored in your browser so we don't ask you about cookies on every page. No personal data. Cleared when you clear site data.
- Checkout (Shopify): set only when you use the Buy button or checkout — cart, session, and fraud-prevention cookies necessary to complete a purchase.
- Analytics (optional): only after you click "Accept" in the cookie bar. If we use a cookieless analytics tool, no cookie is set at all; if we use one that sets cookies, this section will name it. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
We do not currently use advertising or social-media tracking pixels. If that changes, this policy and the cookie bar will say so before anything loads.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing, which we don't do anyway.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing any time via the link in any email or by writing to us.
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information: email hello@kee-shee.com from the address on file. We'll confirm your identity and respond within 45 days. We may keep order records we're legally required to keep (for example for tax) even after a deletion request.
- Opt out of analytics by choosing "No thanks" in the cookie bar or clearing site data.
Residents of California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data and of profiling. We are a small business that may fall below the thresholds where those laws apply, but we honor those requests for everyone regardless. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision and we'll re-review it.
The Site is operated from the United States and intended for US customers. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the US.
Email marketing
We only email people who opted in. Every marketing email identifies us as the sender, includes our mailing address, and has a working unsubscribe link, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. We do not currently send SMS/text marketing; if we start, we will ask for separate, express written consent first.
Retention
Order records: as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (generally 7 years). Email list: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we don't accidentally re-add you. Contact messages: up to 2 years. Server logs: rotated on a short schedule by our host.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant processors, not by us. We limit who on our team can see customer data. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever have a breach affecting your data we'll notify you as required by Colorado and other applicable law.
Changes
We'll post updates here and change the date at the top. For significant changes we'll email the list.
